Inspired by the afternoon tea of ladies in Kuwait. Those powerful networking sessions that become a true socio-political event. I was welcomed, amazed and participated. Each tea bag is a conversation an event, a memory, a power play, a memory of each woman’s conversation with me. They are transformed into adornment objects to symbolize the cultural significance of the event and to reinforce the femal presence. The olfactory element is an intentional vital element in this work. It transports the receiver to the original event. Tea drinking is a unifying universal.
